I have many thoughts today. I wrote them, but they need to grow first.
As for now, I'm thinking about the idea of the supposedly important yet inherently ephemeral trend of "trending," and the plethora of people's ideas about what is truly quality. I give you these words that appeared in my mind from somewhere and made their way here four years ago:
Some people aren’t as thankful for exquisite and rare natural scenery as you might be, and don’t feel the need to step back and take time to say "wow!" While remarking on the magnificent view, lounging on a couch and staring at snow-capped peaks atop an enormous rocky slant down to the river below, you are flatly contradicted by a visitor who, instead of hiking to the halfway point where you are meeting now, rode in a minivan with her family on the lower road. You are shocked to hear her say this isn't amazing, as if it were merely another boring scene on her television or lap top screen. All matters of taste aside, she's wrong for interrupting your expression of awe at the grandeur of beauty all around you. If your heart tells you that you love the song, then your view has been true all along.
When you ask her just what she does consider amazing, she says mountains in Sichuan province. New people will later tell you that there aren't big mountains in Sichuan province, only forests. You will later go there yourself and learn they're both wrong: there are beautiful mountains, but they're spectacular in a very different way. Regardless of all of this strange aesthetic criticism, you feel blessed for the cosmic gift of being able to see the miraculous wonder yourself. Who cares if anyone else sees it? When you're fortunate, you find people with whom to share the pleasures of poetic perception, and when you are in solitude, the world is happy to share your glowing mood.
You shouldn't let other people’s tastes of reality interfere with your personal enjoyment of its gifts. The secret to blissful existence is knowing what matters most is that the Universe smiles, so if you find a style to make your life worthwhile, and this helps you find something amazing, exciting or somehow worthy of your exultant praise, because it gives you a reason to smile in your soul, then the edges of the universal smile will raise, which has always been and will always be the goal. The magic mesmerizing music, brilliant books, fantastic foods, spirit lifting shows, lovely people, the heart of the glide and now's view, this is all here for U
I think the universe is well aware of this, and sends U to places and gives U books to read and plays U music and shows U shows because it very well knows U will lovingly appreciate their glorious delight on behalf of the universal song story, because the Universe evolved U into being for loving
