European Adventure: Dublin

June 7th

I begin a journey to meet my nephew for the 1st time

I waited for a taxi in Harlem (named by the Dutch)
After only a few minutes my old student Marco (from Chile) pulled up to me.
I'm amazed I remembered his name, and he eventually remembered me,
although it had been more than three years since we'd seen each other.
He used to take an 8:00 pm class on the Upper West Side back when I had a split schedule.

I actually run into old students in my neighborhood here and there quite a bit

I have a 12 hour layover in Dublin, Ireland, on my way to mainland Europe.

I've arrived at 5 am, or midnight, EST.

Basically, I'm ready to go to bed,
yet I won't be able to do that for another 18 hours.

So I might as well walk around the city.

A student recently gave me a nicer one for the holidays when she saw the state of Papa's...
Still, I needed to wear his around Ireland

Next country...
