Very warm Saturday. Sunny too. Relaxing. Having made it through 2004 on the modern rock playlist, I've begun listening to condensed playlists for hip-hop and classic rock. The former begins in the late 1980's with Eric B. & Rakim, NWA, A Tribe Called Quest, Da La Soul, Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur, Wu-Tang Clan, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Notorious B.I.G. and Method Man so far. The latter begins in the 1950's with "Rock Around the Clock." Then James Brown, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, and currently, the first album by The Beatles. The first song:
There appear to be many Beatles and Bob Dylan albums before we finally get to the Rolling Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, The Kinks, Zombies, The Who, The Byrds, The Beach Boys and Cream. And so on.
I guess that means it's time for jazz, classical, blues and the rest of the modern rock lists.
Life in 2014...
